Faber Vs Brown now on VS

Brown is a descent fighter and is powerful , but horribly . . SLOW . . and his time as champ is *ticking* he did not control him, he couldnt even keep a broken handed fighter on the ground , he got to his feet almost every time. Before the injury he was on his way to a closed left eye, . . . speed kills bro , he was gonna get worked and 'will' shortly in the next meeting
speed has the possibility to kill, but there was no way Faber woulda kept Brown from taking him down. yes Faber got up, but everybody knows how favorably judges look at takedowns and ground work. if Brown woulda worked for more submissions than the guillotine (like say an armbar, I was hoping he'd go for it) he woulda finished.

Also I wouldn't say Brown is slow but rather that Faber is ridiculously fast. Garcia is no slouch and Brown put him to sleep quickly. Faber is just that quick. Just about everyone will look slow in a fight with him. But Brown was smart enough to realize he wasn't as fast as Faber on the feet and took him down. That is fighting a smart fight.

true . . . but with a broken hand or hand injury submissions and even ground control should have been that much easier, and he could barely keep him contained on the mat , Brown even looked like he knew he was dissapointing , in not being able to finish a cripled fighter . . i dont buy it , i got money on faber next time if anyone is game . . .

Faber may not have to fight Brown again. I think Aldo will take the belt from Brown before year's end so Faber will probably fight Aldo for the belt next. For a tune-up fight, Faber should fight Grispi, that kid looks good and Faber needs to take him out before he gets better.

Doesn't matter.

Jose Aldo > Faber & Brown

ok I really don't think that, but **** that kid looked impressive. I would not be surprised if he got the belt his next fight. He's freaking dangerous.

faber isnt just some random dude. brown is a great fighter, faber being able to do what he did in that fight with his situation is no slouch to brown, just shows how good faber is. the heart he showed in that fight was amazing. i too feel if he didnt break his hand he would have won the fight. he has some good chokes in the later rounds that he couldnt completely secure because of his hands being f'ed up. brown definitely won the fight, especially with the way takedowns are scored (even though brown couldnt keep faber down) and i agree with the 48-47 scoring by one of the judges.

the entire card that was shown was awesome. cerrone looked great as well as did aldo. although i think aldo will be shocked when he fights brown. i think it will end something much like faber/brown 1 did although prob not as early.

It was not a draw, watch the fight without byest commentating and it was 4 rounds to 1. Sucks Faber broke his hand though , my feeling from this fight was right Faber is the better sthlete maybe fighter but he does not have the power to hurt Brown. Brown is stupid strong for being 145 and does not really make mistakes.
x2. The only round Faber won was the first. 49-46 fight.

Faber's hand...

I definitely think Faber > Brown. Even in the first fight it seemed that shot was lucky. A win is a win, but I don't think Brown won that fight more as Faber lost it. And the fact that Brown couldn't finish off a guy with one broken hand and another injured hand just shows that he is not that great. The inevitable Aldo/Brown fight should be pretty interesting.

The fight of the night had to be the Jorgenson/Banuelos fight. Usually fights that go to decision can be boring, but those guys went at it tooth and nail for the whole 15 minutes.

i think you are really discrediting mike brown here. even injured faber was awfully scrappy. he did what he had to do to win the fight........and it was still an exciting fight. brown is a bad mf'er. did you see him fight leonard garcia? the first faber fight? he is no joke and extremely humble on top of it. and i am a huge faber fan and was pretty upset with this outcome as well. i can see brown takin care of aldo the same way that he did faber in the first fight.
