speed has the possibility to kill, but there was no way Faber woulda kept Brown from taking him down. yes Faber got up, but everybody knows how favorably judges look at takedowns and ground work. if Brown woulda worked for more submissions than the guillotine (like say an armbar, I was hoping he'd go for it) he woulda finished.Brown is a descent fighter and is powerful , but horribly . . SLOW . . and his time as champ is *ticking* he did not control him, he couldnt even keep a broken handed fighter on the ground , he got to his feet almost every time. Before the injury he was on his way to a closed left eye, . . . speed kills bro , he was gonna get worked and 'will' shortly in the next meeting
Also I wouldn't say Brown is slow but rather that Faber is ridiculously fast. Garcia is no slouch and Brown put him to sleep quickly. Faber is just that quick. Just about everyone will look slow in a fight with him. But Brown was smart enough to realize he wasn't as fast as Faber on the feet and took him down. That is fighting a smart fight.
