I have a set of 9 month old SLC 265's. I got them from 6spdcoupe here last July. For those who don't know, they are a very nice component set. 6.5" mid & 1" tweeter (I believe).
Anyway, I've recently decided to go with a 3-way setup. I already have a replacement tweeter on the way, and I had originally planned to use the Rainbow mid to act as the midbass. I've decided against that, and am just going to get a set of midbasses.
So, that means my Rainbows are up for sale.
I had about 100w x 2 (nominal power) on them for roughly 7 months. Then 40 x 4 on them for 1 month. Then 100x4 on them for this last month.
FWIW, they sound very good active, but I'd say they need about 75 watts to make them shine. The 40 watts I had was good, but just not enough to make them sing. Basically, they were never overpowered.
They have some rust on the mid terminals due to being in the door. It should come right off with polish, but in no way effects the performance.
Included is the mid, tweeter, and passive crossover. I still have the grill and other hardware they came with. I also have the box & I believe the instructions (though, who needs though anyway, right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ).
Just to give everyone a fair warning, if you buy these, I probably won't send out until next Tuesday. I have to order my midbasses to replace them, and when they come in, I'll send the Rainbows off.
I'm looking for $180 shipped. I believe, after making a post here for suggested asking prices, that $180 is very fair. This includes the 3% paypal fee, and shipping. After all is said and done, I'm only clearing about $165.
