Ask anyone, the 05's were much better woofers, sq-wise. something about the coil/motor setup idk what it was but it made them great sq woofers. I think the new ones were made under the new ownership iirc

Very nice subs, get real low and sound great. i got a 12in 05' and plan on keepin it for quite a while lol
