External X-over

I have the Pioneer Premier F90bt which i found out does NOT have "active" capabilities....what about an external x-over to make an Active set up? Would that work? if so, any recommendations?

I get my stuff installed today and would want to run an active set up.

an external crossover will work fine just run your frount outputs full range or through to your active crossover

Audio Control or a Old School Sony XEC-1000 are both flexible.

If you can find one. An MTX LSX-2 would do you justice too. It will let you run 4 channel 2way or.......2 channel 3 way.
