Ok, I am looking at getting a stand alone 1 TB external hard drive to install in my truck, and I am looking for something to use it with. My plan was to use a Kenwood head unit (DNX7100) which has a USB port, but I am not sure if I can make it do what I want to do with it. I want to load the hard drive with mpeg movies, and have the head unit play them on the video system in the truck. I do not believe this head unit will work, so I am looking for an alternative. Will this unit do what I am looking for, or do I need something else? I do not really want to put a computer in the truck to make it play movies, just a simple connection to a video processor that will play them on the truck's video system. Any ideas??
