extang blackmax covers?

Good for what it was but Ive been done with snaps for about 3 years and don't miss them. Had the Extang RT after my blackmax. It's a somewhat pricier version where the support bars roll up with the cover. Didn't like the velcro attachment and it didn't shed water too well. Now have an Extang Tuff Tonno 3, with the J-hook fastener. It looks better and smoother with no snaps and is SOOO much easier to fasten and unfasten. I'll reserve final judgement until I have to deal with it in the winter but as an all around cover its attachment system is in my opinion WAY better than the black max.

thanks for the reply, snaps shouldnt bother me since I dont use the bed all that often, it was either the blackmax or the tuff tuno but of course price came into play. How hard are they to install?

No more than half hour as long as you don't have a drop-in over the rail liner, most of that for getting the parts out of the box and figuring out what's what. Attach 4 rails, put support bars on, attach tarp.

Another good option: I know guys who've gotten folding soft covers off ebay for 250 or less. They can be secured fooded up near the cab or removed in seconds without help and usually come pre-assembled. Your choice and not being pushy but there's tons of cheap options out there if you look that are more convenient than snaps.
