i'm pretty sure that is no longer accepted in IL, so i would check before you go through the trouble.

Some states allow it, but even if you are lucky enough to get a slip, you wont be able to get 5% on your front windows.

you need to have 'light sensitivity' BEFORE you ever get a ticket or tint your front window. that has nothing to do with needing glasses. Find out what to say before you see the eye doctor.

I personally think it's an unsafe idea, and you're asking for trouble.

After my run in with the towelheads in Iraq, I was assigned to a medical holding unit at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Elpaso Texas. I landed an office job in a plastic surgery clinic which dealt in many cancer related cases (not to mention plastic surgeries, **** jobs, tummy tucks...etc) I saw a few medical records in which the patient was diagnosed with skin cancer and was perscribed window tinting to minimize the exposure to the sun. These cases were indeed extreeme and few and far between but they did occur. You may want to check with your doctor and tell him you are concerned with overexposure to the sun and would like a note stating that window tint is necessary to minimize the exposure.

I know it's a long shot but it may just work.

YES if have a doctors word the sun may/does bother you... u can tint every window as dark as u need. we have a family friend that just happnds to be doctor(dermatologist) that rights a noterized letter so that when we(me my, mom and dad) go to court for the violation.... we get out of it. but.. they(cops) are always pulling us over cuz they know bout us. it works everytime. also i'v started keeping the letter w/ me in the carso i can show the pigs.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

YES if have a doctors word the sun may/does bother you... u can tint every window as dark as u need.

I wouldnt tint the windshield tho, obviously for safety reasons.

Gotta stress this myself. The 5% looks nice, but driving with it after dark is a huge pain in the ***, and none too safe either. Go with 20% all around and avoid the tickets/crashes! (Assuming thats the legal level in your respective state)

lol in NY no tints are legal .. in MA .. i think 35% is legal .. i forget .. i had a tint law somewhere ...

yea i know in new york its 70% legal tints which basically means any tint is illegal, i just wanted to get 35% or a little darker on my 2 front windows and 2 rear windows, im not tinting the front windsheld at all.
