Every night @ about 11pm pacific time

I am on pretty much nightly from 12am-3am and it is always slow, I am pretty sure this is either the time Goob is backing up the site and moving it to a secondary drive OR backing up the site and transferring it to another server using some of the bandwidth, my guess would be the first option.
There is probably a more effective backup solution such as something like rsync where it only backs up data that has changed but honestly it has been like 4 months to drive and get him to instate the new mods which takes all of 5 minutes and god knows how long (over a year now?) to send snoopdans shirt regardless of the fact he has probably been to the post office a few dozen times since then.

No way in hell he is going to look into more effective solutions, in addition it is a very low traffic time of the day so he probably does not see it as a real issue.

I have about 20 servers and they run backups weekly so my servers suffer the same fate one day a week while moving backups though not as bad as what we see here it gets pretty slow.

i really have no idea of all the computer speak you got going on in this post lol. although, i will agree its kind of a lost cause, but who knows.

It's basically the site downloading everything that went on that day to its backup servers, so that in 6 months when someone joins, and they perform a search, this thread will come up.
