It's not likely this will sell here but I'll list it anyway.

A while back I was going to throw these together quick for a "customer" but they opted for a different setup after I already fronted for the parts. I don't intend to use these for myself and I'd like to recoup at least some of what I dished out for this kit so here it is, considerably reduced. Everything is sourced from Madisound and the component cost is over $700. Nothing will be separated, it will sell as a kit or not at all because the crossover is designed for these drivers specifically and I have no use for any of it individually. All brand new, still in the packaging.

Kit will include:

Pair of Eton 25SD-1 1" Domes

Eton 25SD-1, 1" Soft Dome Tweeter from Madisound

Pair of Eton 7-360 7" Midbass

Eton 7-360 7" HEXACone Bass/Midrange from Madisound

Pair of complete crossovers including the use of Mundorf Supreme Silver/Oil capacitors in the tweeter path. These caps alone are over $160 for the pair and worth every penny.

Mundorf 4.7 mfd Silver-Oil Caps from Madisound

This kit has since been replaced with a new offering but embodies the same level of performance. We're talking about something that would sell for a couple thousand in boutiques.

Eton S7, Symphony 7” 2-Way Kit from Madisound

Looking for $500 plus shipping. No trades please.

The caps make me laugh. Why, for the love of god, did they use 1200V caps? That's just a marketing gimmick. Haha.
Nice set of mids. Good luck with sale!
Thanks? I guess that was helpful.

I'm guessing the 1200V rating is a side effect/result of the twin winding which cancels out the inductance. These things are about 2" in diameter and about 3" long. A normal-sized cap with a value of 4.7uF is a fraction of that size. The voltage rating is of little concern for people when choosing a cap for crossovers.

If you've ever heard the results of swapping out cheap caps and op amps for Black Gates and Burr Browns in the signal paths of amplifiers, you probably understand what I mean by a complete lack of grain and a very eerily quiet noise floor. Just high resolution with a particular sweetness. There was even a marked improvement over a set of Hovlands I was using for a set of ribbons that I made. These caps are the best I've heard yet.

Don't listen to me anyway, just go listen to Avalon Acoustics' flagship offering. It employs Eton and Accuton drivers, as do most of their models.
