False statement, so I corrected it for you.Its worthless fuel?
that costs more than a gallon of oil, to convert the starches into ethanol in the US..
also ethanol has reported to have worse fuel economy in the US...
This is true, Brazil also uses the steam from breaking down the sugar cane to power the factory, very efficient. I've been looking at it, I don't think it's the best but I think it's a lot better than others personally. True you do get worse gas mileage, but it's a way cleaner burning fuel, they rate it at 105 octane, and it's getting cheaper especially now that gas prices are soaring.False statement, so I corrected it for you.
There are a few countries in south america making E-85 out of sugar cane instead of corn. Sugar cane is much more effecient and affordable. SO the E-85 in america ***** but that does not mean all E-85 *****
The majority of the stations are in the midwest, there's about a thousand in the country right now, over half are in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, etc... there's only about 10 between LA and San Diego, but because GM is going to be mass producing them by 2012 off the assembly line, the number of gas stations selling E-85 is supposed to double by next year, supposedly...hydro4000.com extracts hydrogen from water. on the news last night they had a firebird getting 50mpg.....
i see the "flexfuel" or whatever badges on cars for a while now but havent seen any gas stations that have e 85.....seems like a waste if you cant buy it.
im in the midwest lol i saw one in southern ohio but thats the only one ive seen in our state. im sure there are more i havent noticed but i know for sure none of the gas stations in the areas near me have it.The majority of the stations are in the midwest, there's about a thousand in the country right now, over half are in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, etc... there's only about 10 between LA and San Diego, but because GM is going to be mass producing them by 2012 off the assembly line, the number of gas stations selling E-85 is supposed to double by next year, supposedly...

That is true.It should be noted that E85 is not intended as a cost savings measure for the end-user but rather to decrease oil consumption and pollution.
