Essay Exams...

My econ201 professor insists on having only 3 essay exams and a final (which is essay form also) we have no assignments, quizzes, or extra point assignments. I didn't do very well on the first two exams because I am inexperienced with essay exams, especially Economics 201 (something I have no interest in)... Well, the 3rd exam is next Wednesday and obviously I have to do well to make up for the first two. So I already started studying for the upcoming exam, but I can't figure out an effective way to study. I have read most if not all of the material, and also have a study sheet and notes with the topics that were covered. Does anyone have any tips or tricks that you have used in the past to prepare for a tough essay exam?? Anything is appreciated!!

Figure out where his test comes from ( does he want lecture notes included, book quotations, both? ) The hardest part I ever had with a essay test is figuring out what the teacher wanted in it.

I have an Urban Design class we have essay exams in. It's not fun.

The best thing to do is to write practice essays using the topics on the study sheet [if there aren't many]. I know it's time consuming, but that's the way that worked for me.

Ya thats really what I'm going to have to do, it's just tough because he'll throw in something random like ask you to draw a demand/supply curve and describe the points... I hate ECON!!

a supply demand curve is the basis for Economics.... You should be able to draw it and describe the points or fail the course. It's really not that hard man lol.

Yeh when I took it we just had multiple choice and that was hard enough, I can't imagine writing essays about it. Good luck man.

Econ sucks period. I took it online, good luck. MEMORIZATION and a ability to B.S. is all I can offer.

Well if he picked something that easy, I probably wouldn't have to post up on ca.com about how to write it.

Also as a Senior in college I would probably already have all my test taking tips down pat.
