Error message

Does anyone know any simple way to make a laptop get a error message whenever it is booted? I don't want to break the pc, just make it appear broken. Cant the boot sequence be changed in bios so that it doesn't read the hard drive?

go into the bios, change the boot order to boot from CD-ROM or Floppy

Wont have that much time, plus the PC will be locked down on a shelf.

If you have permissions, create a restore point, then navigate to the system 32 folder and rename all of the .dll files to .dllold.

rename the autoexec.bat and config.sys files, i used to do that years ago in best buy to **** with them
