New equalizer (only the high frequency knob) has a "pop" and "scratchy" noise when it's touched or turned. I thought I fixed it by tightening the ground connection but it started up again. And I moved the ground connection to another location on auto body. The power connection is run right to the battery and equalizer remote turnon is run to a relay, as well. I used 18 gauge wire even though (+)(-) wires coming out of equalizer are 22 gauge so I know wire size is OK.
