I was looking at these on their site. They seem like pretty good bang for the buck, if they do what they say...

Has anyone put one on a bench yet? does the NiNe 1 really do 1200W @ 1 ohm? will it stay stable below 1 ohm?

Thanks a bunch. I was already seriously considering them, and i think that has me sold on them..

and why exactly do they ****, I do really want to know what all the fuss is about. I got a pretty good idea abou the thing on them taking orders when the stuff was on backorder for a long time.

If you had any background there - which you don't - you'd realize half of the people I'm talking to on that thread (including, but not limited to the one eD employee) are my personal friends, and half of it was us screwing around...

sorry if i sound at all cocky or anything but that was not the intent.

I saw that someone said that there were 2 big things that they did, possibly more.

the backorder thing is the only one i have heard anything about.

I just want to know what the other problems have been. I haven't been into the scene for a very long time, and have kinda come in on the tail end of this, and haven't learned a lot about it, so I figured I'd ask....

i ran the nine.1 at .5 ohm without a problem. i don't have any actual numbers, but they definatly are some little power houses.

It probably won't get below 1 ohm, but just in case I do end up with a different voice coil config than expected....

i wouldn't recommend it for daily driving. it would also more than likely void the warranty. another thing to note - they **** alot of current at half ohm, your electrical system will hate you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

tis true.. i think its too late to ever try to make my electrical system like me again.

I'm working on finding a higher amp alternator. It seems like nissan used some weird alternator on the altimas. No one can get cases to build upgraded ones, and there are no upgraded diods to fit the stock case.

so I'm basically stuck with either fabbing up brackets to mount some different kind of alternator, or rewinding for about 120 amps to keep from frying the diods....
