ok. I am attempting to run 2 MA Audio HK 4000D amps at 15.5 volts. I am allowed to have 15.5 volts accross the amps. I am trying to find out how to accomplish this. I am thinking of installing a HO alt with a variable voltage regulator. I am expecting to have 16 - 16.5 volts under the hood and 15 - 15.5 at the amps. I also want to stabalize the voltage because these amps will cut out if the voltage dips below 12 volts. My thoughts: 1) Install a HO alt that is 200 - 250 amps. 2) Big 3 Upgrade with 1/0 awg. 3) Install Batcap 2000 Battery under the Hood. 4) Install Either a Batcap8400 or a HC 2400 Kinetic Battery in trunk 5) Chain Batteries together with 1/0 awg wire 6) Install a Batcap minicap 50 (10 Farad Capacitor ) just before the amps. 7) 1/0 power to the amps. 8) 1/0 Ground to the amps. The MiniCap 50 is 16Volts., the Batcap 8400 supplies tremendous power, and the Batcap 2000 is 2000 CA and only weighs 35lbs. I am just trying to support both amps with as close to constant 15.5 as I possibly can. How do I go about this? I am not to sure of the proceedure. If my outline listed above will work or if I need to add/ change something, I will. Thanks for you input
