The batteries might float higher than ~12.6v but they don't really discharge any significant amount of current above there. What does this mean? While you're above 12.6v you're on alt power. As your alt can't keep up, your batts aren't discharging until the voltage gets to their resting voltage which again, is around 12.6v. If your amp is protecting at this voltage, could you possibly have a modded or high voltage model that is supposed to run at 16v?</p></blockquote><p></p>
