anyone have inputs on the new eDead 45 (v.2) specifically for the roof? i wanted to use this for the roof as the price ratio isnt to bad either but was wondering how well does it handle the heat? and how long does the stick last?

thanks for the input.

if not edead then what deadener would be best for the roof? thanks

edead = fail..
you guys are still on that? they treated that sound deadener showdown like it was god's word and the guy that did it refused to ever test the new versions of edead, which has changed twice since the SDS was done. I have the SE (buytl) version of edead along with the paint on in my car, never had an issue with it.

thanks for the input. I was wondering though did you use it specific on your roof? how does it deal with that? I would hate for me to put it to and have it fall off. but iunno with the edead it's really hot and cold with answers so before I buy I wanted to get most opinions haha thanks

I used edead 80 on my roof and it has been fine so far. 95 degree summer and sub zero temps in winter...I'd say you'll be fine, especially since 45 weighs less. I have edead that's over 4 years old in my truck and haven't had any problems with major temp extremes. Yes you can buy better stuff, but on a budget edead is great.

Yeah, it would be cool if the boring aspects of the hobby were cheap...but they're not.
haha that is understood. it also sucks that i live in the middle of the ocean so to get anything here costs so much.

edead has no metal backing.. its like a mylar plastic. Look into raamaudio.com they have good pricing
i also looked at raamaudio they have not bad pricing yet not as cheap as the edead. i might just have to bite the wallet and pay for better stuff. but imean if edead is inexpensive yet still works that will probably push it enough for me to buy it.

hmm thats very nice to know. a little reassurance to me thinking of the edead. i mean it doesnt get hotter then 95 here. and definitly doesnt drop exterme temperatures if anything id say our lowest was around 65-69 haha

thanks man

I'm never dealing with any sort of deadener again. I've use fatmat and it fell off my side doors. I put eDead vse2 under my rear deck area and when I opened my trunk one day, I'd see chunks hanging or fallen onto my sub box. I'm just pissed off that I spent an entire day putting 50sqft of edead vse(1 or 2, i forgot what it was), into my car and found out 6 months later that 20% has fallen off >I"m not blaming eD's product. I'm saying deadening in general does not work. (based off my experience with these type of products). I have eDead under my roof but I'm afraid to check to see if it's still attached to it.

It's a ****ing waste of money and time. Don't argue with me and say deadening works. It does not work and I'm going to leave it at that.

**** deadening.
