Eclipse In dash NAV/DVD units!?

Ok so I have heard tons of praise about the AVN-6600, ok, its a bit pricey, even ebay dollars its around 1600 or so, but they have like three other units. Theres the 5495, 5500 and the 5435. What is the difference between the units? what makes one better than the other. I have looked over them really quickly and didnt notice much of a difference although I am sure there are some. Of all the units, which one has everybody used? and did you like it? I have been told that if I want to go with a double din unit, that eclipse is the only way to go to retain good SQ. Should i stay away from double din units if I want SQ, I am purchasing some rainbow comps and an arc amp to power them, I dont want something thatll hurt my SQ, i currently am running an alpine 9855 right now...

Why not just get the H701 processor to go with the 9855 and save the money? If you want absolute SQ and tunability that seems like the most logical route. Thats what I would do...even though I do love the double-dins...

i love double dins aswell, and id like to put one in my t/a, but have heard mixed signals

The 6600 has better flexibility for Equalization, full ipod control, and the most current mapping disc eclipse has out. What types of features are you looking for. You can look at eclipses website and find out all the exact specs and features.
