Eclipse HU ??

I have an eclipse AV8022 flip out video HU and noticed today that the seperate brain unit gets extremly hot. is this normal? i have never had it in a place that i could get to it so i do not know if it was always this way or if something is wrong with it, it is mounted inside the center console of my blazer (where the stock cassette player formerly resided, and i was checking something else out when i touched the brain and noticed how hot it was. I have noticed NO decay in sound quality or performance. any thoughts???

well its in an enclosed place. with not much ventalation, yeah it can get warm.

will it damage it, this is where the installer chose to put it, and it barely fits in there. i was running digital cable for my dvd player and noticed it.

it wont damage anything.

but if you are worried about it, relocate it under the front seat. or somthing
