There is some kind of tick you can hear when its being pushed hard that sounds like its coming from where the former meets the cone. You can see in my pics there is a spot on the underside of the cone where the cone bottomed out on the spider and shorted the woven tinsels to the cone. So yes it is a working sub but it has its share of issues. On the upside the motor is a TC9 and the basket is solid to so when it finally bites it you would have a real solid platform for building a strong sub.
