eclipse 8053...and the BLA 37601 eveyone says something different...i need help

so im getting a 8053 but some people say it does a balanced output and then the bla adaptor turns it into a unbalanced? then some people say it does unbalanced but the bla adaptor just bumps up the preout voltage and its still unbalanced? i run elemental design amps and i just need to know do i need the bla 37601 to use this radio with my amps? or will it be fine? someone please help me out. everywhere i read EVERYONE says something different...

the head unit is 8v unbalanced which is more than most decks have and the balance line adapter gives you 16v balanced

Where are you seeing it's unbalanced? I'm pretty sure it's balanced. Most amps can't use that much voltage anyway.

that was off od DIY...im seeing totally different things everwhere...and i just need to make sure that the radio puts out a signal my amps will use...

The 8053 deck, in and of itself, is capabable of 16v BALANCED output. This is why you have two pairs of RCA's for every channel.

If you use the BLA, you will get 10 volts (MAX!!!) of UNBALANCED output to your amps. The BLA does NOT make the HU balanced because amps that accept balanced input look exactly like what the 8053 is set up for in the first place - two pairs of RCA's per channel.

Yes they can. 16v is a max rating. You almost never get 16v out of it. Run it with the BLA and you almost never get 10v.

What's the purpose of the BLA in the first place then? It's what balanced signal's are all about: noise rejection. Couple this with greater signal strength and you up your S/N ratio. That's the essence of the BLA with Eclipse.
