Eclipse 7100?

Does anyone know anything about this headunit? My local installer suggested either this unit or the Pioneer 980BT. The Pioneer is cheaper but the installer said the Eclipse unit will sound better due to the 8v outputs. Read plenty about the Pioneer on this site but nothing much about the 7100.

The preout voltage alone will not make it sound better.

I have the CD7000, last year's model. It's a nice sounding HU with alot of tuning options.

Crutchfield has a good amount of information, as well as a copy of the owner's manual that you can download.
