You'd think he'd pay you for that.Meh. No need. I find it comical that he used leaving his pregnant wife as part of the costs for him to ship.
I saved a buck compared to the next lowest with free shipping. Thats dishonest at best and deserves negative feedback. You've gotta remember on ebay auctions the seller is charged based off a percentage of what the item sells for. So some sellers who sell cheap items like a cord will list it at $10 with $40 shipping instead of $45 for the item and $5 shipping. This way instead of paying 10% (an example) $4.5 dollars to Ebay, they pay $1. After selling 100 cords that's $350 in their pocket.
I always look to see who has the cheaper price when combining the item and the shipping and don't take offense to high prices for shipping (if the item is listed way lower than the MSRP).
This. I usually tack on a handling fee on the items I list. But I also start all my items at 99 cents with no reserve. Someone always gets a good deal regardless of a $20 or $30 handling fee and I also clearly state in the auction that the shipping fees include a handling fee. I have had a couple people complain, but not many. If they are nice about it and I made good money off the item then there have been instances where I gave a partial refund on shipping. In other cases people have got an absolute steal on something and still bitch about paying a handling fee, in which case I ignor them and block them from bidding on anymore of my items. I know one guy complained twice before I blocked him, which I'm sure he regrets since he was buying my ish and reselling for double what he paid.. what a fucking asshole.. lolYou've gotta remember on ebay auctions the seller is charged based off a percentage of what the item sells for.
