Last night I purchased a camcorder off of ebay from a ebay store(Empire Digital). I use my uncles paypal account to purchase items. Well he just recently moved from his old house into a new house with his girlfriend. As I was checking out, It blew my mind that he had moved until I was finished. So I have him call the place since he is the card holder and have the camera sent to my address. He then calls me back and says I need to contact the place to inform them on the color case I want. So I do, and the guy trys to talk me inot tons of sales and whatnot(as warned about on other buyers feedback that they are very good at this). So I turn down all of the extra offers that I am not interested in.
So the guy says to change the shipping he will have to refund the payment and charge it to the Visa. The paypal account is setup on the Visa, so anything bought is purchased throgh credit.
The guy seems like a know it all salesman and is hard to communicate with, so I ask that that the package will be able to be shipped to the address requested with no problems? He responds, yes it will make it but could take by the end of next week to get there due to having to refund and charge again.
All of this sounds sorta weird to me, and have never had this happen to me so I'm trying to bare with it all. So I'm keeping track of all emails and receipts of proof I have paid for the product. Would it be rude to freq. check up on this place to make sure everything is running smoothly? This is by far the largest payment I have made through ebay. Just pretty nervous.
