I bought a PDX 1000 from this guy on ebay, for 355. Got it today. Here are some pictures. This is how i received it, only opened the top of the box and started taking pictures.

Not one drop of packing or anything in the box.

Both speaker plug were broke, 2 top caps missing and the big one

DOA

Took it to the local alpine dealer and had it bench tested. Powered up but no output.

That is totally unacceptable. File a claim with eBay under the "Item not as described" shit.

I used paypal and i have already opened a claim. We have swapped 5 or 6 emails, and he keeps saying UPS will warranty it. No way in hell they will with that shipping.

I cant even get him to say if he has a receipt or not.

UPS won't warranty anything unless you have a store bought receipt.

UPS WILL NOT have anything to do with that package. They did not package it, they just shipped it. It is the seller's job to make sure it is properly packaged. They will laugh in his face, and hopefully spit while they're at it.

He will do the right thing, I don't think he wants to mess up his rep for this. I would be very sturn, let him know what you expect, and that you are serious. He will give in.

Thats bull man I take pride in a good packaging job and thats just ignorant. I mean straight up ignorant of that dude.
