easy way to get motor bolts out?!

mine were covered in epoxy and i used a butane torch to heat them up until they were bubbling, then took a fillips screwdriver and hammered it into the screw and applied lots of pressure while turning.

you can also break the basket if you don't need it. i did that to one that had all the screws stripped out. 12 spoke baskets break apart fairly easy...

O___o Smelly. Works though. Be careful with the torch though.

Sig ftw^^^

Sorry for the confusion, their philips head screws. Their not stripped out. There's nothing on them. I got 1 out and there's nothing that apperas to be on the bolt(loctite, glue,etc..)

You have a couple of options the first would be to get a socket wrench with a long handle to give you leverage and find the right size socket that will accept a philips screw tip make sure to put a lot of pressure down onto the head of the screw so you dont strip it out. If they are really tight you risk snapping the head of the screw in which case you will need to buy a screw extractor kit they sell them at most auto parts stores. Sometimes inserting your screwdriver into the screw then taping the back of the screwdriver with a hammer or large pliers will loosen the screw so you can back it out.

screw extractor is probably your best bet then. You take a drill bit and drill a small hole into the center of the screw then insert a reverse threaded bit into the holeso as you loosen the screw the bit bites harder into the screw they are a life saver when your in a pinch and I think I only paid maybe $10 for my kit

x2 If you have to drill them out COVER THE GAP If you dont you'll have lots of fun cleaning out said gap.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
