Easiest way to do a chargeback?

I may be in a situation on another forum where i'll need to do a chargeback (HID group buy, long story short, seller sort of disappeared and no ones recieved kits yet).

Anyways, i dont want to deal with paypal's BS, and i paid with my card (not funds in paypal).

Because of this, cant i just do a chargeback through my bank, then it'll be paypals issue, not mine? Should i do this at the bank or over the phone?

I am in the same situation (different story) and if you do a chargeback, your paypal account will go negative. You will have to set up a new paypal account with a different card number.

i could care less if i have to set up another paypal account. I'de rather do that than lose 200 bones.

Dont even know if filing a paypal claim is worth the time is why i ask, all paypal claims end up the same.

I did mine over the phone. It was real easy.

lol not at you but i had to do one liek a week ago, took about 2 days but i brought something off ebay, filed claim, did dispute against my cc online and called the cc to be sure. paypal gave the seller like 48 hrs to respond they didn't and reversed the charge

I inquired about it at BOA, just for future referance, And I was told that if I I buy something on line using a CC, then there is nothing they can do. As I gave permission for the money to be transfered. Even if its a scam seller. They would cover me if someone unathorized stole my info and used it to buy stuff. But if I willing bought it, then its a matter for the law, not them.

Thats what the BOA person told me, Not sur how true it is. Also everyones situation is diffrent, so idk, Banks are trying to cover themselfs more and more...BOA is know for screwing ppl. Why do you think they are so big?

i may not need to do this anymore. the guy finally responded back on the other forum, and we're tearing him a new ******* at the moment.

he claims he has pictures of the receipts, and we're waiting for those pictures to be posted right now.

bastard lied about shipping though. They shippd out today, he claimed shipping 12 days ago.
