Hello i was wondering if anybody has seen this amp on the bench . I own one and can not find test results anywhere. I opened it up the guts do not look like its capable of 2000 at 2ohms and 1000 at 4 ohm . I am not a engineer but gust my pesonal observation its also a small package. I also hoping if i run it at 2ohms it will not make my subs sound like $%×+. Hoping and thinking that this amp running subs at 2 ohm the audiable effects wont be noticed for sub dutie .my thoughts are its a sub amp my ears and most people's ears wont find its sound quality bad . Its for subs they allways sound destorted.

Apparently, this is a legendary oldschool powerhouse.

If you wire to 2 ohms, your amp will see a higher impedance after rise anyways

They do real close to rated. I had one and ran it at 1ohm without issues. The sq difference is really inaudible to me. It sounded just as good as a rf t1500-1bdcp amd actually had a little more gusto then the rf. It was also hella effeicient like 87-90% at 2ohm. They dont like low voltage or extreme low impedence. But other then that rocl solid old school powerhouse.

Which one do you have ? Black or grey. You can have them modded to take lower ohm loads but my friend has one right now in his truck & my friend use to use them back in the day.

I do not have it at hand for a bit . It had a blade style fuss inside of amp. Is there two different runs of these and what is the difference

The black was the older ones and the better from what i understand. Not a expert but @Spooney ; may be able to answer your questions better. By chance what is the blade fuse inside rated at. The only real mods for it was chamging the internal fuse as that was the protect circuit. 20a is stock you can put a 30a for running 1 ohm and a 40a for .5 ohm burps only. They start to build hella heat below 1ohm and have little to no protect circuit just that little fuse.

Could you varifie where the protect mode and power lights on the older one .I think mine are on top .
