earbuds

Had both those ..very very close to smokin buds output ..smokin buds have lil more bass
I wouldn't want more bass. The Klipsch are extremely well balanced to my ears. To be honest, in some instances, it's just little bit too much bass output. But I understand people's tastes are different.

Don't think I don't love bass, I do. But half the reason I love so much of it in a vehicle or otherwise is because of the full body sensation you get from the air movement around you. If that didn't happen, well SQ would be the way to go. And that don't happen with earbuds, so I want as balanced sound as I can get.

but all these buds sound different to me cuz.i dont use the foam tips they fit into my custom molded ear plugs..so noise cancellation is amazing

Ended up buying the skull candies. I didnt get the smokin buds cause i didnt need a mic. Ended up getting i think iced buds? Cant remember. They were only 20$ instead of 30. The sales chick said they were the same as the smokin buds but no mic. Turns out it does have a mic. And they sound like dog sh^t. Almost worse than the 4$ pair i got at big lots. I listen on my phone so I'm not sure if its the phone. I'll try them on my ipod. Unless they sound a lot better on that they are going back. I wasnt really looking for great sq but these things are horrible.
Should have got the Brainwavz R1's. They crush Skull Candys in bass output, sound quality, build quality, and accessories.

This is an opinion that should be taken very seriously. WD reviews tons of different earbuds.

Ended up upgrading to smokin buds. I may still keep looking for another set. I'll see what they sound like at work were its noisy.

I've got some Sol Republic Amps, pricey at $60, but they beat the hell out of anything I've ever heard. I've owned the Skullcandy's from the ink'd, Smokin', to the Titans, and these things have crystal clear quality with brain rattling bass that is somehow not overpowering. Plus, mine have survived the wash, countless 5K's, and being stuffed into my pockets then yanked out.

I'm looking for some headphones for listening to audiobooks... should I get over ear headphones or earbuds?

Not trying to spend over 50, preferably less. Does quality even matter for audiobooks?

Depends on your preference I'd say. I'm not a big fan of bulky headphones, but earbuds massacre your hearing more than headphones I've heard. But then again, audio books shouldn't be too loud.
