those 140's are 8 ohm right lex? so what happens when you connect these to a 4ohm crossover ? whats the smart way to do it? I'm very interested.

You just connect them, there's nothing else you can unless you want to bridge your amp to them wired in parallel and have mono output out of them. They are probably pretty sensitive and don't requre all that to sound good and play loud anyways, if they are 8 ohm.
