DVD In-Dash, play when not in park

I'm about to buy an indash dvd player, just the cheap kind with the motorized screen inside. I know that the car has to be in park with the E-brake on to play movies on it, is there any known way to bypass that and let them play whenever?

What kind? For pioneers, except the avic, you just ground the wire.

it's the cheap *** jensen at circuit city, VM9510. Would I just ground the brake lead wire to the same ground as the head unit? if so, could I just cross it over in the wiring harness? any help will be greatly appreciated, minus the flogging I'm sure to recieve for buying a jensen....dvd on a budget is tough enough, but my kid needs his spongebob.

yes just ground the brake wire... and don't worry about the bashing on the jensen... it has a great picture... and a 7" screen... my avic has a 6.5 and the picture is a lil better on the jensen

yeah, i noticed that when I looked at it. the picture was better on it than some of the units twice the price. and as cheap as it is, I'm willing to get over the name on it. thanks for the help.
