DVD head unit

I am upgrading my deck and am thinking about getting a DVD headunit. Would it sound anywhere as good as a normal cd deck (budget is $300)

Not for 300 dollers. That might get you a Jensen. Personally for 300 dollars you can get a really good single din player like an Alpine 9886. Or you can get a pioneer 7000bt which although doesn't have the best power ratings you will be better off with the pioneer versus a Jensen dvd player. Plus you get the bluetooth accesory. Or if you want better power you can get a Pioneer 6000 and you get more power out of your RCAs but you dont get bluetooth. All of these radios are right at or under 300 dollars.

Thanks for the input, I guess i'll make a wiser decision and get a non-dvd head-unit.
