dvd decoder?

im trying to play a new dvd i just bought, but wont play on my computer, it says i need a dvd decoder. ive played other dvds before why is this different?

i've had that problem as well. i just quit using windows media player and downloaded this program http://www.download.com/Media-Player-Classic/3000-2139_4-10518777.html?tag=lst-0-1

nothing special, but plays movies. since i don't watch a lot of movies on my pc this works great for me
