Duct tape for sealing

I'm making a box this weekend for a apxx18 and I'm going to have interchangeable slot ports. Could I use duct tape to seal them up so I don't have to silicone them? I think I saw it done once but can't find the thread were I saw it.

To answer your question yea duct tape will work great as long as it is on theree good don't see no harm in doing it at all. Now if your going to do that get you some t nuts an some weather stripping that should do it great. If it's any concelation steve Meade does it lol

I just have 1 more competition I'm gonna go to then I want just a daily beater so the high tune port is only going to be used once. Then I will probably seal up the low tune port

This stuff works great for a perfect temporary seal. It's like clay and conforms to irregularities but it's easily removable. I use it for all of my sealing duties. First pic in the link, the purple box. You can get it at Home Depot and such. Cheap too.
