Am I the only one that doesnt understand the sudden fascination with a bunch of random ass noise/music/beats/hippy bongo drums/flutes etc..? It sounds like a bunch of garbage thrown together in one song with no sort of rhythm or anything.. Am I missing something? Besides the fact that most people say it slams on their system, I dont see the point. Discuss

Im trying to be open minded about this, and have listened to numerous "dubstep" songs that have been posted here. But I'm just not understanding the allure. It just sounds jumbled with noises and beats that are out of place... it definitly helps...i gotz 2 KRK VXT8 and DD PM151s with PS2 to fall in love with da wobble BASS

OP your first post doesnt seem very open minded. Dubstep follows common time steps and some irregular but even with the creepy noises you should be able to catch it. It is pretty complicated though, sort of like metal music and some blue grass. Also sort of an acquired taste, but I would say that a lot of people here like it in part because it often comes in 320kbps or higher and is recorded at -0 db with a high dynamic range. In other words everything is clear and distinguished in the songs and your tweeters, mids, and subs will all be taken for the ultimate torture test while your ears spit jizz like your dong after a night with jenna jameson.

I had never heard of it...and then BOOM, everyone on CA.com acted as if it was the return of Jesus in music form. And all I could do is shake my head when I heard it.

There is good dubstep and bad dubstep. just like there is led zepplin and nickelback.
