dual altenators in a vw

has anyone ever installed a second altenator in a 2002 vw jetta 1.8t. or know if its possible. if so can you point me in the right direction. thanks

We build a 290 amp, 200 amp idle alt for the VW's.. Unless you need more than that, I wouldn't even try the dual alternator route.. We run these alts all the time on 6K-7K watt systems and as long as you have a few batteries, you will have ZERO trouble with them at all... Rob
