Anyone else see it?

Went last night with my wife and it was between this and the new Wolverine movie I wanted to see............well she wanted to see this, so as always when we don't agree on something, we play paper, sisscor rock and as usual, she wins! Anyway, she picked that and all and all it wasn't too bad. Started out cheesy as hell, but overall I thought it was decent. You can tell Sam Raimi sticks with what he knows best with his horror films. A lot of parts reminded me of his old evil dead series........which by the way Army of Darkness was one of my favorites.

I will say it wasn't all that scary.......a couple parts maybe, but as usual he trys to bring comedy out in a horror film, which can kill most directors, but he is known for this.

Overall a B from me. Most people that are hardcore horror fans won't like it I imagine though. Have to go in there with the mind frame that this is the guy that did the evil dead series................oh and of course spider man, lol!

You guys just must not understand Sam Raimi horror films. They are ment to make you laugh from time to time. That is what he does.

I think he is extremely witty and creative in his movies, especially his Evil Dead ones.

With that said, this is like his old movies and isn't like his Evil dead series, but you can see certain affects from back then, not to mention the comedy.

Like I said, if you haven't watched his evil dead movies, then I doubt you would understand what he is about or doubt you would like this.

I still think it was decent, because I knew what he was about going in to it.

I saw it Friday night.

I would have much rather spent my $9.50 on something else than watching that.

Why did you go see this? I don't spend money on stuff unless I read up on it. I knew going in what I could expect due to it being a Sam Raimi movie.

Did you go just because of the previews? I usually never go because of the previews.......with the net and what not, you can learn a lot about a movie rather it would be good or not and is worth your monies.

This is the 2nd movie I have been to this year, lol! I usually rent them on blu-ray.
