I'm working on my install and got all the wiring in place, everything is put back together, looks pretty good. I isolated the power, RCA, speaker, everything is neatly tucked, but nothing is currently connected.

The Amp is a Sundown 100.4D, and the wiring is a Knukonceptz "amp kit", with Kollossus power/ground, one of their fuse blocks (and Karma SS RCA/speaker) and a couple of 4g ring connectors and a handful of 12g or so spades. It's this kit for reference: KFX-AK44

OK, on to the DQs!

Are the 4g ring connectors designed to be crimped or should I solder or crimp + solder?

The fuse holder has small "collars" and a small set screw. I'm assuming the collars go over the (stripped) wire then into the fuse and it screws down. Do people use any solder here or just the screw down? The collars seem a bit undersized (or the Knu wire is slightly oversized).

On the amp side, it also has roughly the same style connectors as the fuse - 4g openings with a set screw at the top. Since the power/ground is stranded wire, so people use some kind of connector at the amp, or do a little solder at the wire tip (to kind of join the strands into a more solid connection point) or just squeeze the strands in and tighten (which doesn't seem like a good connection)?

Crimping the 4ga ring terminals will be fine, just make sure its tight. I do prefer the solder, I used a handheld torch.

The little collar in the fuse holder is to allow the use of either 8ga or 4ga wire w/ the same holder. Back the set screw out and remove the collar if you are using 4ga. Keep the collar in if 8ga.

For the terminals on the amp, just twist the wire together and screw the set screw down tight. Don't over tighten and strip the screw though.
