Dont Pump Gas on May 15th

this has been done before , so many times. NOT the actual act of not buying gas for a day, but sending out an email or posting for people not to buy gas on a certain day....never has worked. Too many people rely on gas, and you will never get enough to not use gas for a long enough period of time to hurt the gas companies

Interesting....
Im sorry that the nation isnt run by the Democrats who think its more civil to take from the rich and give to the poor. If someone works and makes it big, they deserve the money. They dont deserve to have it taken and given to the lazy bastards who dont feel like working or work a shitty job that doesnt pay enough for them to support them and their 84 kids.
Your perception of the Democratic party is inaccurate.

Look who spends more on pork in the last 20 years.

i remember not to long ago when gas got back down below 2 dollars here in texas.

and i also remember when gas was below a dollar :/

good thing im about to get a job that is less then a mile away from my house. WOOT.

The logic is pretty flawed..

"If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day"

Not all 73 million people pump gas EVERYDAY.

Your perception of the Democratic party is inaccurate.
Look who spends more on pork in the last 20 years.
One of my major disapointments with the Bush administration. Whats happened to shrinking the size and cost of goverment which has always been a republican staple? In my "dream world" I would essentially like to put a tight limit on the powers of the federal goverment. To protect us militarily, provide for the elderly, disadvantaged children, and mentally challenged. Broader diplomatic matters such as finance and foreign policy as well of course. Other than that, quite frankly I think it should be up to the people and individual states to govern themselves as they see fit concerning most other matters.

Wouldn't something like this be a whole hell of a lot better??

>GAS WAR - an idea that WILL work

>This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day"

>campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies

just

>laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt"

ourselves

>by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it

was a

How?

>had that much potential, di d you?

>Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you,

>please pass this message on. I suggest that we not buy from

EXXON/MOBIL

>UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $1.30 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN.

>

>THIS CAN REALLY WORK.

lol i work at a gas station. and something like this will never work. let me tell ya why.

1. you will never get enough people together to make the smallest impact. Our income varies between 5-30% everyday. so their wont be a much noticed difference.

2.Lets say u do decide to not pump gas on may 15, yet you have to go to work the 14th, 15, and 16th. Well you are either going to fill up on the 14th or the 16th. either way the company is still getting their money regardless of what day it is.

3.This is what i hope happens. I do hope there is a good turnout, and that no one pumps gas on the 15th. My boss will drop the prices to 1.50$ a gallon on the 15th, to temp people to come in. Then the next day, i would count on gas being 3.75$
