Okay, going to atempt to wire my subs to 1 ohm tommrow... i have my box, i have my subs, im buying some 14g speaker wire, but question...

When wirieing them, do i just strip the rubber back then twist the wires together then put some electral tape around it?

what about when 3 wires come together? do i just twist all 3 together, then electral tape it?

get butt connectors and a pair of crimpers. they have them at kregan or any hardware store.

you shouldn't really have to electrical tape anything if you run the speaker wire correctly...

But what about where the wires connect to the inside of the box, on the little metal tab looking things, do i not use electral tape there? some of the wire will be showing... is that bad?

if i were you i would solder the wire to the connectors. theres gonna be alot of rattling/shaking going on in there and electrical tape probably isn't going to cut it.

My brahmas are wired with tape, it didnt come off.

theres always exceptions-----just my opinion, do with it as you want.

a weller soldering gun from home depot costs $20-$30... comes with some solder and extra tip... get one... won't be the last time you use it...

I DO NOT reccomend it though, it does come off. Plus it looks very very tacky.

Well im fixing to wire my subs. Said screw it, and just bougt some ele. tape, wire crmps (with butt things, not that i would even need them... im wireing to 1 ohm and my 2 subs are dvc with push terminals) and 100 ft of 16g RCA wire. What did you get 100ft of rca wire for? or do you mean speaker wire?
