Out here you get "tenure." when that happens, you basically have to break the law to lose your job. The CTA (California teachers assoc) is one of the strongest unions in the state. Tenure is not a 10 year contract, it is basically a contract until you retire.i have no contract, but they cant really get rid of me. They needed to do that in the first 3 years.</blockquote>
