I made a mdf baffle today. Dropped my speaker in it. installed it in the door. Lost all my midbass. took it out. Put my plastic baffle back in. Got midbass back Biggest difference is. Mdf bracket leaves the speaker about 3/4 of an inch from flush with metal. and the plastic bracket holds the speaker 2-3 inches from the metal. Could the speaker being a distance from the chamber of the door, be causing me a gain in midbass and vice versa? or did i just screw up and prob leave space between the mdf bracket and the door and have a little air escape. It couldnt have been much. Can that really cause that much of a difference??? Plastic bracket ^
