I prefer sealed because the boxes are generally smaller when comparing the same subs. I use my car on a daily basis, I even put the family groceries in it, so loading 2-15"s in a coffin sized enclosure is not an option. Many people will say you can tune lower with a ported enclosure but cabin gain has already done that for you automatically. I'm not saying a ported enclosure has to sound bad. I'm just saying that most people here seem to tune for "highest output" not sound quality. Just look how easy it is to find a TL score as opposed to an RTA result on this forum. Does anyone who purchases a TL even buy the RTA upgrade?
