dodge infinity speaker problem

just a few days ago my deck got stolen from my 95 dodge avenger. today i bought a new one with the same brand of wiring conversion plug i used to install the last one. i wired everything properly and everything works fine except that there is no sound coming out of the speakers, only the subs. why is this? what can i do to fix it? all of the speaker wires seem to run from the deck to a factory amp, and then out to the speakers....i checked and there is power running to that amp

Did you hook up your vehicle's amp remote wire to the remote output on your head unit?

well i think its powered by something else. i used every wire back there but still nothing

There is a wire behind the head unit that needs to be powered to turn the factory amp on, but I'm not sure of the color in your Avenger. In most Dodge vehicles it would be a green or green/red wire. Are the original Dodge radio plugs still in place? If so, it's on one end of the black plug. Also, some vehicles with Infinity systems have a separate amplifier ground that connects to the chassis of the factory head unit. If your vehicle has that wire, it needs to be grounded for the factory amp to work.
