Hey guys whats up? This is my first post on here. Ive been reading this forum for some time now and i think its about time for me to get on the boat!

Ok so i am some what a noob to some stuff but i been into car audio for some time. My best system was in my 02' explorer with 12 10" audiobahn 10's sealed with a aw1800dt amp running them and i did a 147.6 (not sure what mic) at a show in my town. Got a trophy to prove it. But anyways to get to the point. I now have a 1992 Pontiac Bonneville and im getting ready to do an install within the next week. And i wanted to see what u guys thought about it and maybe could give me some tips....

System is going to be:

HU-Alpine 9881

Mids/Highs- (not sure yet)

Mids/Highs Amp- Older Solid Audio 4ch...

Box- For now just two vented prefabs. (Subs up Vents up)

Subs-(4) 12" Kicker Comp vr D2's wired at 1 ohm.

Sub Amp- The older planet Audio PA2500D

Wire-0awg Kicker Flex

Battery in the trunk is just a red top...(for now)

I would love to hear anything you guys got to say. Good or bad....

Thanks!!!

ummm... well should be loud, not my personal preference of equipment, but i would say it would pump out about 142 db's or somewhere around there...

Does your year car have the peice of metal that goes across the back of the back seat?,my mothers bonneville had it but i cant remember the year.If it has the metal its gonna be hard to get loud with out cutting the metal out or takeing out the rear deck.

i've got 3 DB on your 12 10's with 1 subwoofer in an explorer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Whats up guys? My Bonneville is a 92' so it does not have any metal on the back of the seat. It has the arm rest thingy that pulls down so you can see into the trunk but thats about it.....

I know i need to do a custom box but i already had the perfabs and i dont have money to change up at this time.....I will do custom soon.

Yea you think i would have done a little better but oh well. I did it off stock everything...No battery in the back or anything. Stock speakers!

The only thing i did was put in a HU, some Knu 1/0awg 300amp braker, a Audiobahn AW1800DT and 12 of lowest model Audiobahn 600 watt 10's..Oh and a little JBL 4ch...

The system sounded great for what i had into it and plus it looked cool with all the subs in the back...lol

So what do you guys think about the system im doing? Should i do it...I mean all the stuff is already bought. Do u guys think its a big waste of time. Or do u think it might get pretty loud?

I really want some Audioque HDC3's but im waiting on a better car.....

So sould i sell my stuff and get diff or just stick with this stuff?

Thanks for all the help!

I am but im not sure what i am going to go with yet......What do u think about the rest of it?????

Is it a waste of time.......I know i need a custom box and maybe some better batterys and i will upgrade but not for a few months..(moneys tight right now)

From what i have posted up top do u think it will get loud in the prefabs with the subs up and vents up?

Thanks!
