i personally believe in God and what kng says is true.

This "religion" has been turned into a marketing gimmick so freakin rich pieces of crap pastors get richer while they leech off of the avg joe on minimum wage in return for thier "salvation"

the original church wasnt all the bright lights, GIANT buildings gold lining, dress up in your sunday best (pshh) all that crap. YOU DONT NEED GIANT SCREENS IN YOUR CHURCH!!! NOR DO YOU NEED A FREAKIN CAMERA TEAM!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif :furious: the money can be spent elsewhere where it is needed: the people who need it.

the original church was based off of community, and caring for one another... when someone needed something anywhere anyone, the church would help out as much as possiblem, and having a personal relationship with God/Jesus.

unlike nowadays, the church WONT accept anyone outside of thier religion into thier group. i think MAn has made a mockery of the bible with all the stuff thats goin on nowadays in religion, and greatly strayed from what the church was originally meant to be.

okay im done.... for now.
I agree with this guy

option A: there was a big explosion, everything seperated and we evolved. sounds plausible, just need to fill in the holes.
option B: some guy named "god" who may or may not exist, and has never had any record or means of proof of his existence, miraculously created everything, there is no actual record of it, just stories that have been passed down from generation to generation, and somehow even though the stories werent recorded on paper until hundreds of years afterwords, we are to believe there was no embelishment or inaccuracies to them.

option C: you are all just puppets in my world //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

choose wisely

You think an explosion made everything? When's the last 4th of July that you set of fireworks in your yard and came back later to find a universe evolving... give me a break.

Stories that pass down from generation to generation have to be lies? Why? If they wern't recorded on paper (who thinks paper is an assurance of accuracy anyway) maybe it's because God had just created a universe, but neglected to give us paper mills and printing presses, and since we know it was Adam and Eve, and they talked to God, then why do they need a piece of paper to tell their kids what they experienced firsthand.... And as far as there being no actual record, what do you think the Bible IS?

Problem is, people like you think that you are scientists and assume your logic makes sense

when was the last time you set off a firework that was much much larger than the earth? think about that one, then think about how rediculously retarded your rethorical was //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

so why didnt he give you all those things to go ahead and record it? and im not saying that if it is information passed down then it is a lie. try making a very elaborate story, remember it all, dont write anything down, then tell it to someone, who will tell it to someone else, who will tell it to someone else, and so on and so on... now, after telling that story for about 390 years (roughly the time between the death of jesus and the time the first actual bible was compiled) and tell me how accurate those stories are //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . better yet, go and get 20 of your closest friends, stnd in a line, shoulder to shoulder. whisper a phrase into the person next you you ear, and have the message passed down the line and see if the message is spread accuratly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . now imagine doing that through time for that many years, and see if the story doesent change in any way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

as stated before, its a compilation of stories that may or may not have happened.

Problem is, people like you think that you are scientists and assume your logic makes sense
i never said my logic makes sense, or that i am a scientist. but this logic does make sense: if there is no official record of an event happening, and it cannot be scientifically proven that it did happen, and we have no explanation for why it could have possibly happened. it probably didnt happen.

Problem is, people like you think that you are scientists and assume your logic makes sense

science comes with facts, you dont have facts jesus lived, god lived, or anything. therefore your point is just as irrelivant as "the big bang". Why is hard to believe evolution when you can believe that some guy died for someone he knew he would NEVER meet, or NEVER see. why is it that you believe that something thousands of years old is true, but cant grasp the fact that evolution IS possible.

for example, things change over time correct? a fish can start off as a fresh water fish, but as evolution does its thing, it can hold itself in salt water. and the same goes for salt to fresh. its been proven SCIENTIFICALLY......unlike your "religion". My father would die for me, he would die for anyone he loves, and he has FAR surpassed the age of 33. Why is it that someone who couldnt live PAST midlife, and die for us (people he didnt know would even EXIST) is believed.

Now im not a scientoligist or whatever that wierdo tom cruise is, or an evolutionist or whatever u wanna call it. I don't believe in god, but I also dont believe in waiting to get married to have ***, and dont believe weed can kill someone. Does my beliefs, or disbeliefs I should say, make you mad? If so............its people like you that think faith is the bottom answer. In my opinion, its fact over fiction, and well......theres no FACTS any of this religious leader deal ever took place, just a book that says some guy was stupid enough to drag his own cross to his resting place let alone not fight to get out of the situation.

I HOPE I offended you.

Never believed in god because of the ****ed up life that I lived. I used to be a spoiled little ***** rich kid that got EVERYTHING he wanted. Then to make a long story short my Mom cheated on my dad, then my Dad cheated on my Mom to get back at her. Then they started fighting heavily and drinking. The drinking led to pain killers for my mom and crack for my Dad. We lost everything, our house, cars, my dad's business, EVERYTHING when I was 12 years old. I moved into an apartment with my dad and my mom left us when I was 13 and my dad started abusing me mentally and physically because I was the ONLY one around for him to **** with. Then I left home and was homeless for 2 years before my friends parents finally adopted me so I could finish high school....BUT and this is TRUE STORY I started to believe in god after something happened to my friend.....

My friend's brother killed himself in a baseball diamond from our middle school behind his house. He Shot himself in the head through his mouth. 2 years later on the exact same day my friend was drinking on fighting with his girl and went to the same dug-out of the same diamond and shot himself in the head through his mouth. Keep in mind the diamond is about 300 yards from his house. An hour later his mom found him on his back porch and took him to the hospital and while in treatment he kept mumbling Stew and talking in his sleep and shit ( Stew was his brothers name) then after he healed up completely and we asked him about it. He says "There is no way for you to know the honest truth because you weren't there. You don't have to believe me, and I understand why you don't believe me if you don't. But, I swear on everything holy that my brother carried me to my back porch when I shot myself and he saved my life." The blood trailed from the diamond to his back porch, and it would seem pretty impossible he crawled 300+ yards AFTER shooting himself in the head. He healed perfectly normal with no damage except he can't smell anything at all. That along with some other small things that happened to me personally is why I changed from being an agnostic to a Christian....

I belive in a God, not religion. I forget who said it but it went along the lines of "Belief in a higher being unites us but reiligion divides us." I've had my share of tough times and have found comfort in the bible but sometimes find it difficult to believe. I find it hard to believe that a man was crucified and rose from the dead. But I find it hard to explain the principle that there is no god. I also find it 'funny' that back then, people who heard his voice were considered prophets and teachers and were respected because they were lucky enough to hear him but now we simply throw those people into an insane asylum. Modern day religions in principle give people hope, a purpose and something to believe an; to look toward an afterlife or a reward for what they did in life. But in practice I find them to be as bad, if not worse than the Enron's of today. I bear no religion but pray to God. /post
