I just switched from and alpine v12 amp 340x1 @ 14.4v with an Alpine Type S 12" sub in a 1.3 cu ft sealed box................. to a ......... Memphis 500x1 @13.8v with an RL-p 12" sub in a 1.3 cu ft sealed box and i dont hear to much of a difference. Does the sub need to break in before it really starts getting loud, or should it sound how it will sound directly out of the box?? As far as setting my gain on my sub, I put the HU on volume to 80%...played a 50hz tone at 0db...had everything flat and my sub control turned all the way up and adjusted to the proper voltage. What do you guys think?
