Do i have everything??

well the cap just came with the subs, so i didnt go out and buy it. but i will get some terminals. whats the difference between a capacitor and a flux capacitor? and i have a 1500w max amp but i heard that it gets up to more like 1700-1800w max?
flux capacitor aka Back To The Future? I don't think you're gonna find one of those anywhere. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

yeah someone already explained that to me lol

and i think ur the first person ive seen actually from iowa

i bet u liked the game on saturday hahahah

JT, right click next to the bug, and click image properties, the URL will be in there.

Also, Haden, everything looks fine, but the capacitor is worthless, leave that out, and buy an extra battery if need be.

Yeah, leave the capacitor out. You'll also need a set of RCA's and a couple extra fuses would probably be a good idea. I have no idea how many I went through when I was first trying to get my system put together.

ok i already have RCAs though. this capacitor is a 1 farad digital rockford fosgate so im not sure how much those go for but ill look it up and i might sell it then

It will most likely not sell unless some one doesnt know better, but your welcome to try.

Also, your looking good so far. Put me as ref too, gotta love refs...

Um, I would just make sure you have plenty of wire and take your time installing. Double and triple check simple and complex things. I rushed my new amp in tonight and I have to make up for it tomorrow with tedious things.

I would Also not blow all your money on your sub stage. Just becuase after a while youll realize your stock front stage will go and you will want new stuff up there and that my friend is like hockey vs field hockey. Same style but its just different enough to confuse you.

May I ask is all this stuff sitting in your garage or mangled up in your truck.

I would also keep your stock hood battery and buy a second mid class car audio battery for the back just to help you avoid other issue. Safer then sorry. Is a good moto for car audio.

But take it all slow and USE the search button on the top right hand side when you have questioned you want answered fast.

Its a life saver in you wont get yelled at and it will help you learn more, dont just read on thread your search brings up read the majority. Its what I do and I have had very little problems.

Also you can look for dodge ram fan sites and see what they have done, might have DIYs do it your selfs on removing panels, running wires, safe grounds all that good stuff. People on here dont care to learn.

best of luck

haha are those caps like shitty or somethin?

and none of this stuff is in my truck yet

and thanks for the advice

What caps do is give burst of energy, but if the rest of your electrical can handle the burst it will cause your alternator to go dead, because it causes your voltage to drop to low, it will also start working on deep cycling your non deep cycle batterys, making them large useless messy paperweights.

BEEN there... sigh... happened listening to a shop. ****ing morons they where.

Any ways yeah caps are only good when higher farad and used in different situations. Really just a marketing ploy.(gimmick)

Good call on it not being in your truck. Are you installing it yourself?
