where can I get the standard harness from? I dont know where to look. you mean like a wiring harness? and whats an acc wire and all that other stuff? ignition fuse box stuff..

ok thets start from the beginning. does ur factory radio have all the b.s. runnin through it. like ur oil change's and things of that nature

depends on the features the car has. i.e.onstar, bose/monsoon, ect.

alot of cars it just looses door chimes. but then with the more expensive cars u get the "premium sound". this is where the harness is better used. it triggers the factory amp where as 9 times outa 10 the factory amps dont turn on with out it. meaning no sound. then u have to re-wire the amp and so on. but if u want to door chimes and so on get the harness

yeah it has all that stuff

BUT if I can install my new head unit and lose it without it messing my car up. i dont care..I dont need to see what percentage my oil is at and all that crap.

ok cuz they make a dash kit to keep all that b.s. its like $150

ne ways if u are comfortable finding the acc=accessory wire. found in the ignition column or fuse box get the harness u posted the link to. if u dont wanna do ne of that then get the expensive one. it will make it 100x easier on you

if you get the cheap harness be forwarned it can throw codes to the computer and you will lose all chimes, and anything else that currently goes thru the speakers, the driver info center will be lost on all but the one kit I posted.

but if i dont care about the driver info or the chimes then that one should be fine..I dont care about not having the driver info or the dumb chime sounds..
