Do connectors make any difference?

I used some cheapo connectors to connect the wires to the midbass components and coaxles and was wondering if there was any difference in a set of cheapos or more expensive connectors. I ask this because I want to put the u-shaped connectors on all the wires going into the crossovers so the wires aren't just smashed under the screw. So that way I know if cheapos are fine or I need to get quality connectors. If I end up needing to get quality connectors, then I'll order the ones I need for the speakers above.

So why are they offered? Not doubting, just curious. I found a set of u-shaped 12-10 awg. connectors that I need for $2. Seemed cheap, but wasn't sure if that was just the cost or quality too.

They are offered because some people think that more money = better. Period. It's a way to make money.

depending on the connector- some are pretty.... and some care about that. (i.e. show install where everything has to be perfect)...
